Meditation
at the Cloudroom, Morningside

Thursday evenings: Arrive
silently between 6 and 7pm. The meditation
period starts at 6pm but you can arrived any
time after then. At 7pm there’ll be a talk or
discussion about practice.
Friday mornings: Meditation
between 6am and 6:40 and then a talk or
discussion, continued at a cafe close by.
The Cloudroom has been a meditation space for
30 years. It’s on the corner of Richmond Road
and Bonar St with the entrance in Bonar
Street. Turn right after you enter the
property and you’ll find yourself on the short
path to the Cloudroom. There’s both chairs and
meditation cushions available.
All dana based, meaning no set
cost. There’s a box for dana (monetary
gift/donation ) at the entrance.
The teacher/guide is Eoin
Meades.
Eoin
has over 4 decades of meditation practice,
including years immersed in Vajrayana
practice, being a founding member of the
Brisbane Zen group, long periods working
with Insight Meditation teachers, study and
practice of Advaita in India and then
training as a Recollective Awareness
teacher. There is an

experiences in and reflections on some of
the early Vipassana / Insight Meditation
retreats in Australia.
Visiting
leaders
The
next visiting leader at the Cloudroom is Joah
McGee, founder of the Insight
Myanmar podcast and Better Burma. Some
of Joah's writings are here
on Tricyle magazine. Joah will run two
sessions:
